D23 Members Can See Halloweentown At The Walt Disney Studios!

D23 has announced an exciting new Halloween themed event that will take place at the The Walt Disney Studios on October 29, 2017 starting at 2PM. Guests of this event can attend in costume (see dress code from D23 below) and be there when D23 shows Halloweentown in the Studio Theatre. After the screening guests will get to see a special Disney Villains exhibit at the Hyperion Bungalow presented by the Walt Disney Archives. This special Villain Events has only be open to Cast members of the Walt Disney Company in the past. Attendees will also recieve a D23 bucket of popcorn, bottled water, and an "one-of-a-kind gift created exclusively for this D23 event!"
D23 Gold Members will be able to invite one guest, and D23 Gold Family Members will be able to take three guests to this ticketed event. Tickets will go on sale on September 5 at 10am PT on the D23 website, and will be $30 per person, plus a $5 processing fee. D23 Members will need to show their D23 Membership Card and a photo ID at check in which starts at 1 PM.
Special Message From D23 regarding costumes:
All D23’s Spooky Screening Series attendees—including adults—may attend dressed as their favorite Disney, Marvel, and Star WarsCharacters. Attendees in costume must adhere to the following guidelines:
  • Costumes should be family-friendly and may not be obstructive, offensive, or violent. Guests may wear masks. However, masks must not obstruct vision, and eyes must be visible at all times.
  • Guests who dress like Disney Characters may not pretend or imply that they are an official Disney Character. Creating lines or collecting money for pictures and/or signed autographs is not permitted.
  • Costumes should not drag on the ground.
  • Costumes should not contain sharp objects, pointed objects, or materials that may accidentally strike another guest.
  • Costumes should not contain any weapons that resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.

Marvel Studios Week May Be Coming To A Theater Near You!!

Marvel fans wanting to catch up on the Marvel Cinematic Universe have a chance to see all 11 movies from August 25-31 at Cinemark Theatres. The eleven films will be grouped together under various themes across the week, including Origins, Cosmic, Fan Favorites, Cap’s Best Of, First Avengers, Team Ups, and Guardians Day. Tickets are $5 a piece. Other offers being run during this time include Cinemark Connection members will get two times the points for each movie they see in Cinemark XD and theaters will also be offering discounted snark bar items. The movies will be grouped by themes every day.

D23 To Host Walt Disney Studios Tours In November

On November 18, 2017 D23 Gold and Gold Family Members (and up to one guest per member) will have the opportunity to tour the Walt Disney Studios. There will be 8 2/12 long tours held that day, the first starting at 9:30am and the final tour starts at 2pm. Check-in for each tour will start 30 minutes before your designated tour at the Hyperion Bungalow. While on the tour guests will visit the Archives and Walt Disney's office suite and will be able to shop at the Disney Studio Store.
Registration will open on the D23 website on 8/25/17 at 10 am PT. Tickets will be $75 per person plus fees. Guests must be 10 years old or older to take part in this tour. D23 Members will need their Member ID number to reserve their spot for the tour, and will then need to present their D23 Gold or Gold Family Membership card and photo id at check in. There will be portions of the tour where members and their guests won't be allowed to film or take photos. Also guests in ECVs will have to transfer to a Archive provided wheelchair prior to entering Walt Disney's office.
Per D23 "Only D23 Gold and Gold Family Members who have not already taken The Official Walt Disney Studios Tour – Presented by D23 in 2017 will be eligible to participate in this additional experience. Due to the nature of this experience, children under the age of 10 are not able to partake in The Official Walt Disney Studios Tour—Presented by D23. Only confirmed ticketed attendees will be able to enter The Walt Disney Studios on November 18, 2017. "

Have You Seen Epcot's 2017 ‘Eat to the Beat’ Concert Series Lineup?

The 2017 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival will run from August 31 until November 13. During those 75 day guests will have the ability to experience 35 global marketplaces that will be offering a combined total of 39 new dishes and 65 new cocktails. Guests of the park will also be able to enjoy the 2017 "Eat to the Beat" Concert Series daily at 5:30, 6:45 and 8:00 pm. The festival and concerts are included with your park admission.

D23 Members Can See "A Goofy Movie" For Free At The El Capitan Theater!

On August 31, 2017 at 7pm, D23 Members can attend a complimentary screening of "A Goofy Movie" at the El Capitan Theatre (6838 Hollywood Blvd.) Currently D23 Gold and D23 Gold Family Members can call 1-800-DISNEY6 to reserve there tickets. D23 General Members can call to reserve their seats on August 10 at 10am. Members can take guests to this special event, but Gold and General Members are limited to one guest per member, and Gold Family Members are limited to three guests per member. Check-in for this even will start at start at 6pm.
Per D23: PLEASE BE ADVISED: Filming, photography, and other recording will take place at the El Capitan Theatre during the event you will be attending. The Walt Disney Company will be taking photos and filming at El Capitan Theatre located at 6838 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028. By entering the premises, you irrevocably consent to and authorize The Walt Disney Company, its affiliates, successors, and assigns (collectively “Producer”), to photograph you, make sound recordings of you, and use such photographs and recordings throughout the world, for any purpose whatsoever in perpetuity, including, but not limited to, television broadcasts and home entertainment products, including, but not limited to, home video and DVD. All such photographs and sound recordings will be the sole property of Producer.
