The Disney Parks Blog released additional images and information on the "Through the Years" collection items that will be sold at the 2017 D23 Expo Disney Dream Store. The line will be celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Star Tours, the 35th Anniversary of Epcot, the 40th Anniversary of Space Mountain, and the 50th Anniversary of Pirates of the Caribbean.
Richard Terpstra (Graphic Designer with Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media Creative Group) is the main artist behind the collections four posters. Each poster is the foundation of each collection. The Pirates of the Caribbean line is inspired by ads and vintage drive-in movie posters from the 1960s. Terpstra worked with several artists to create the lines. He and Dave Holbrook worked together on Space Mountain's vintage travel poster inspired line. Brian Blackmore assisted in the creation of the 1980s arcade themed design for the Epcot line, and Ron Cohee worked together with Terpstra to create the Star Tours collage.
Each poster will be available in a framed giclée or in an oversized poster tube. Guests will also be able to purchase drinkware, apparel, hats, ornaments, and other items in the "Through the Years" line. Guests will be able to purchase Pirates of the Caribbean and Star Tours Vinylmation Eachez figures. There will also be several pins with edition sizes of 1,000 pins each, and jumbo pins with edition size of 500 pins each. The Parks Blog Teased that there is more information about Disney Dream Store merchandise coming over the next few weeks.
